5 Things You Can Do If You Are Having Digestive Diffuculties

9 Jan

Quick Facts:

Poor digestion leaves the body and the immune system in the same predicament that poor nutrition does – a lack of nutritional factors that support immune functioning and the function of the entire body. This is because a poor functioning digestive system has lost some of the ability to turn what’s consumed into a form the body can use.

We’re using up pancreatic enzymes (digestive enzymes) faster than we used to and we have a limited amount of them. Processed food is a contributing factor. There are numerous symptoms like gas, bloating, belching, muscle pain, skin disorders, insomnia, constipation, diarrhea, and heartburn.
An inadequate digestive system will “steal” enzymes from the immune system to operate therefore weakening immune function. Poor digestive capability increases the body’s toxic load.

So here are 5 things you can do if you are having digestive difficulties:

1. Don’t drink liquid with a meal. Do not dilute your hydrochloric acid, unless you have soup which is ok.

Hydrochloric acid, also called HCl, is a clear, highly corrosive liquid. HCl is one of the many chemicals released in our stomach when we eat a meal. The role of hydrochloric acid in the stomach, along with the other gastric juices, is to break down foods and cause the release of enzymes that further aid digestion. HCl also protects the body from illness by killing pathogens commonly found on foods.

2. No cold beverages with a hot meal. This changes the P.H. in the stomach and disrupts normal digestion.

A healthy stomach pH is important to maintaining proper digestion. As you consume foods and beverages, the gastric acids in your stomach respond to help break down the compounds of your meal and transport nutrients throughout the body.
3. Chew your food slowly. The speed at which you eat affects digestion.
Most people think that digestion begins in the stomach. This is not true. Digestion actually starts in the mouth. Saliva in your mouth contains enzymes that are important to food digestion. One of the enzymes that your saliva contains is called alpha amylase. This enzyme is responsible for breaking down the starches that you eat into smaller molecules that the cells in your body can use for energy. When your food is not chewed properly, the alpha amylase in your saliva does not have the opportunity to break down these starches, leaving body cells starved.

4. This is very beneficial; incorporate papaya into your diet.

Papayas have some of the strongest digestive enzymes of any food that help in the breakdown of proteins. The most beneficial way and cheapest way to incorporate papaya would be buying the fruit itself. However, many westerners are not partial to the taste. In that case you can take tablets; 4 or 5 after a meal, or you can take it in concentrated powdered form; 2 tablespoons will do.

5.Good old cultured or fermented Foods and they are very inexpensive to make.

Cultures around the world have been eating  fermented foods for years, from Sauerkraut in Germany to Kimchi in Korea and everywhere in between. Natural fermentation of foods has also been shown to preserve nutrients in food and break the food down to a more digestible form. This, along with the bevy of probiotics created during the fermentation process could explain the link between consumption of fermented foods and improved digestion.
The best thing would be to have sauerkraut juice or raw cabbage juice about half hour or twenty minutes before a meal, about 6 oz glass will do. However, the following are also phenomenal: sauerkraut, kimchi; raw apple cider vinegar; kombucha; natto; core a pineapple and juice. Miso is very beneficial, it is loaded with micro nutrients

truly understanding “gmo”

19 Apr
For those who don’t truly understand what the whole  GMO  thing means, let me break it down.
We must all understand for our sake and the sake of our children  that 60%-70% of our food is “Genetically Modified”  (also known as “GMO” and in the  natural circle “Frankenfoods”)  and  the FDA has been heading a campaign telling people that GMO’S are safe and organic is not. Well let’s take a look…

What is “GMO”….anyway?

GMO stands for Genetically Modified Organisms and basically what this technology does is— it manipulates the genes of whatever the organism is.
GMOs have been on the market since 1996. The FDA has approved them because they originate from conventional foods and conventional foods are deemed safe, therefore, GMOs are considered safe too,  because they are “substantially equivalent.”
In ”GMO  Foods”  pesticides are literally sliced into the gene of the plant, which means that there is insecticide in every single cell of the plant.  They are engineered with a compound to resist weed killers. Keep in mind that the pesticide industry (Monsanto, Dow Chemicals, Dupont, Bayer and Syngenta) has bought out the seed industry and 85% of genetically engineered crops are designed to be soaked with Monsanto’s chief money-maker  “Roundup
Glyphosate is the main ingredient in Roundup and is known to cause cancer, food allergies; learning disabilities; sterility and birth defects. In fact GMO’s are known to disrupt the endocrine system and alter our digestive system and since its unleasing— chronic illnesses, especially in children— have increased. GMOs have been suspected of being responsible for everything from autism and cancer to diabetes and allergies
Last year alone 153 million more pounds of pesticides, with these toxic chemicals,  were used on our crops here in the U.S. Even though, originally, GMO’s were said to need less pesticides and yield more crops. Well! The truth of the matter is GMO’s yield less than conventional methods and  in the first 13 yrs of GMO’s being introduced 323 million more pounds of pesticides had been applied , in comparison to normal crops.
Now these crops are becoming resistant to Glyphosate, so Dow Chemicals  is seeking approval for 24d corn and soy. For those not familiar with 24d, it is a chemical found in “Agent Orange” and if approved it is estimated that by 2017, 6900 million pounds of 24d will be applied to our food system. And plants are not the only food supply being genetically modified.

Get ready because it has already been approved!

Genetically modified corn has been out now for years hidden in  products as processed foods in the form of high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS), corn oil, corn starch, and various other corn-based additives. And now Walmart will be selling complete ears of corn and they have no intention of labeling it.
Genetically Modified Salmon is coming our way too! And if that’s not bad enough, companies are seeking patents for pig DNA.
So what is the FDA’s stance on this?  Well, believe it or not the US is the only developed nation in the world that does not require safety assessment of Genetically Modified Foods. In fact, the US is the only developed nation that doesn’t even require that your foods should be labeled, so that you the consumer will know if something is Genetically Modified or not and then you could have the choice to buy GMO or not. Even though 93% of americans are for labeling foods. If they’re not bad for you then just label them…Right!
Mind you the biotech industry takes the position that labelling GMO Foods would just “confuse” consumers!

CONFUSED?

I’M NOT CONFUSED!

ARE YOU CONFUSED?

WHO’S CONFUSED!

“The FDA has gone on the record  stating that it will not require any special labeling of genetically modified salmon! David Edwards, the director of Animal Biotechnology at the Biotechnology Industry Organization, explained it this way: ” Extra labeling only confuses the consumer and it differentiates products that are not different.”

NOT DIFFERENT!  WHHAAAT?

“The whole point of  genetically modified Salmon is that they are  modified with extra growth hormone genes to make them grow more quickly. If they are not different, then why are so many GM Salmon processes patented. The entire purpose of a patent is to make legal claim that “we invented something different and we own the rights to it”….isn’t it?
I advise you to be very careful where you shop and what you are shopping for because even “Whole Foods Market” is lobbying against food labeling. Yes, that’s right “Whole Foods” products are largely GMO. Remember “Natural” doesn’t  necessarily mean better. It is still safer to stick to “Organic” products, or look for products that are certified Non-GMO. And Whole Foods are not the only organic elites that have surrendered to Monsanto.

PLEASE LOOK FOR THIS LABEL

Please support the “Just Label It” campaign!

We have a right to know!

Don’t we?

Believe me they are listening!
